Update: Due to demanding time commitments on all the authors, NextGenGOP is no more. It was fun while it lasted, but not meant to be this time. Check out Justin Higgins’ new blog, JHPolitics.
I’ve done a fair bit of blogging over the past few years – here, as a guest blogger at Legal Insurrection, and as a writer for the Republican Party of Texas’ publication The New Texas Forum. I’m very excited to add a new blog to my list.
NextGenGOP is a brand new collaborative blog by young conservatives from all across the nation. Launched just this month, we plan to cover a variety of topics and use both our political and writing skills to stir up some controversy and promote the Republican Party’s principles. NextGen will also feature regular action items to get young voters involved. Justin Higgins, founder and editor-in-chief, says:
I’m fired up about NextGenGOP because I know that the fight for our generation, our friends and classmates, isn’t a lost cause. We’re going to fight back against the liberal chokehold on our generation, and I’m proud of the team we’ve put together to lead that cause.
I’m serving as both a general contributor and editor of two issues: gun policy and abortion. (And I’ll continue blogging here, though perhaps not as frequently as I have in the past.)
If you are a young conservative interested in blogging regularly about politics, please drop a line here or on the NextGenGOP Facebook Page.
Our generation will be impacted the most by our current political climate. It’s time we took a stand.
