I’ve been blogging on and off for a few years now, and I’m proud to say I’ll have my first experience on a bloggers’ row in just a few weeks. A few months ago I introduced you to The enVision Conference, an event being held in Austin September 28-29. In short, it’s all about helping young people develop leadership and professional skills with a foundation of Judeo-Christian values.
If you know a young budding leader seeking to enter the professional world and make a real difference, I encourage you to share this event with them. With its focus on the practical as well as philosophical and speakers from local small businesses and non-profits, it’s one of a kind.
For a deeper look at The enVision Conference, check out my interview with Hannah Bell, founder and host of the conference.
What is The enVision Conference? The enVision Conference is an event that seeks to develop the next generation of men and women into great leaders. The Conference recognizes the leadership crisis and lack of guidance that our society faces. We seek to inspire, empower, and equip each individual, ages 18-29, to achieve his or her destiny, resulting in impacting communities, creating relationships and changing the future.
enVision is built on three principles: Empowered from the Basics, Network Now, and See the Future. The Conference brings together inspirational speakers, workshop presenters, non-profit organizations, and industry leaders. The different sessions will help young adults determine their purpose, teach the etiquette of networking, develop job interviewing skills, provide financial planning tips, review traditional values, discuss ideas, determine educational and career options and more.
Why did you decide to the start the conference? I see the need for vision, purpose and direction for my generation. This translates into my passion to help my peers realize their God-given purpose and fulfill their destiny. Many times when people look at this young adult generation, they see apathy, arrogance, discouragement, hopelessness and lack of direction. Yet, I see something different. Although I do not discount the prevalent issues, I see the opportunity for greatness. My generation is a sleeping giant. When awakened to their callings, young adult men and women will live with purpose, serve with excellence, build lasting relationships and leave a dynamic legacy for generations to come.
Why should I go? Here are some relevant aspects of the Conference to consider:
- enVision will inspire you to think about and pursue your purpose.
- enVision will equip you with relevant information pertaining to job interviewing, financial planning, education and career options, using social media, and learning about community involvement opportunities as well as what it is like to pursue various career options.
- enVision will empower you to take your ideas and dreams beyond the Conference and implement them.
- enVision will provide an environment for you to develop friendships.
- Overall, enVision will train you in leadership skills that will serve as an asset to your present and future endeavors.

What did people who attended last year’s conference find particularly enjoyable or useful? The common feedback in 2011 was that the Conference proved both personal and professional guidance. Also, the opportunity to hear from speakers who represented various backgrounds provided a unique and relevant dimension.
What other projects does Hannah Bell Ministries have going on? Hannah Bell Ministries is the 501(c)(3) organization doing business as The enVision Conference. It is currently solely focused on The enVision Conference, looking to eventually expand the Conference to other locations in Texas and hopefully one day throughout the United States and globally.
